Mr. Innocent Namuhoranye is the founder member and Chairman of the National Seed Association of Rwanda (NSAR), established in 2014, and has been leading the association for the past ten (10) years.

He is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Agriseeds Ltd, a private-sector vegetable seed company registered and operating in Rwanda. Agriseeds Ltd specializes in sourcing and distributing high-quality seeds to farmers locally and regionally through a network of Agro-dealers and farmers’ organizations. Agriseeds Ltd has two subsidiary companies, Agrisol Ltd that is distributing agricultural chemical products, and EASI Seed Production Ltd, a vegetable seed production unit. It also holds the Agriseeds Academy that undertakes research activities on different advanced technologies and trains the seed industry players and farmers with hands-on skills to optimize crop productivity.

Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in the seed industry development, including seed marketing in the region – with a specific understanding of the Rwandan, Burundian, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) seed sectors among others. He is currently serving as the Board Member of the Africa Seed Trade Association (AFSTA). Besides being an experienced businessman in Rwanda, he holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Cumbria in United Kingdom.
