MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON
NATIONAL SEED ASSOCIATION OF RWANDA-NSAR
On behalf of the National Seed Association of Rwanda (NSAR), I am pleased to announce the upcoming 3rd Rwanda National Seed Congress 2026, scheduled for 20–21 July 2026, at Kigali Marriott Hotel. This landmark event builds on the strong foundation laid by our previous congresses and comes at a pivotal moment for Rwanda’s agricultural transformation. Under the theme “Building Resilient Seed Systems for Enhanced Trade and Investment”, the Congress will convene policymakers, regulators, private sector leaders, development partners, researchers, and farmers to strengthen collaboration and accelerate progress across the seed value chain.
The 3rd Congress reflects NSAR’s continued commitment to implementing our 7-Year Strategic Roadmap (2023–2030), which prioritizes international accreditation and quality assurance, industry self-regulation, financial inclusion, climate resilience, technology and innovation, and inclusive value chain development. A resilient and competitive seed system is fundamental to increasing productivity, enhancing food and nutrition security, expanding regional trade, and attracting sustainable investment. This Congress will provide a high-level platform for policy dialogue, strategic partnerships, and practical solutions that respond to emerging challenges and opportunities in the sector.
On behalf of NSAR and our partners, I warmly invite all stakeholders to join us in shaping the future of Rwanda’s seed industry. Together, we can strengthen trust in quality seed, empower farmers with improved technologies, and position Rwanda as a regional leader in resilient and innovative seed systems. I look forward to welcoming you to this important national gathering.
Innocent Namuhoranye
Chairman – NSAR
Sincerely,
